Partner Biographies

Howard J. Reinsch, CPA - Managing Partner/Accounting and Auditing - Howard provides expertise in the areas of accounting, auditing, and management advisory services. Howard has been a partner with King, Reinsch, Prosser & Co., L.L.P. since 1977, and became managing partner in 1981. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa and Nebraska Societies of Certified Public Accountants, the Northwest Chapter of Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Siouxland Estate Planning Council.

Michael H. Prosser, CPA - Tax Partner - Mike serves as administrative partner in the tax department, performing supervision and review of the research, planning, and compliance work for individuals, business and tax-exempt organizations. He also specializes in governmental and not-for-profit audits. Holding his CPA certification since 1977, Mike is licensed to practice in Iowa and Nebraska. He is a member of the Iowa Society of CPAs, Northwest Chapter of the Iowa Society of CPAs, and the Estate Planning Council of Greater Siouxland Area, Inc. Mike serves as the Firm’s representative in the AICPA Tax Division. Mike has served on the board of several local civic organizations and has presented numerous seminars on business planning and business and individual taxation.

David D. Schmit, CPA - Partner/Accounting and Auditing - David brings to the Firm his extensive knowledge in accounting and auditing, and broad experience in the tax area. He provides auditing, accounting and management services to several of the Firm’s largest closely-held companies. David is a member of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants, the Siouxland Estate Planning Council, and the Estate Planning Council of Greater Siouxland Area, Inc. Earning his CPA certification in 1981, David received the Elijah Watt Sells Award for achieving one of the three highest Iowa scores in the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination.

Leon Jessen, CPA - Technical Tax Partner - Leon specializes in income tax planning, estate tax planning and compliance, pension plan consulting, and employee benefit programs for the Firm. Licensed to practice in Iowa and Nebraska, Leon has been engaged in public accounting since 1969. Leon became a partner with King, Reinsch, Prosser & Co., L.L.P. in 1985. He serves as a member of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Siouxland Area, Inc. and is a member of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Joseph R. Mohrhauser, CPA, CFP - Partner/Investment Management - Joe has extensive experience in accounting and auditing, income tax planning and preparation, and personal financial planning. A graduate of Briar Cliff College, Joe is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa Society of CPAs, and the Iowa Society of Certified Financial Planners.

Jeremy Uhl, CPA - Partner/Accounting and Auditing - Jeremy began his career in 1994 with a Big Four accounting firm and joined King, Reinsch, Prosser & Co., L.L.P. in 1999 as an accounting and auditing manager.  He has audit, tax and accounting experience in various industries including manufacturing, retail, not-for-profit and government.  A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants and participates in various volunteer activities in the community.

Patricia Albenesius, CPA - Partner/Accounting and Auditing - Patty is a graduate of Iowa State University and joined King, Reinsch, Prosser and Co., L.L.P. in 1994 as an accounting and audit supervisor. She has extensive experience in private company, not-for-profit and government accounting and audit. Patty is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.
